I received this error when clicking on a link to a previous story: "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: com_formattimestring() in /home/content/s/m/o/smokeymonkey/html/geeklog/plugins/links/functions.inc on line 102". What do I do?

Workaround: In the address bar of your internet browser, replace "/geeklog/public_html/" with "/blog/". This will bring up the new verson of the article.

Why are you asking me to contribute?

I'm not, actually. The contribute link is for submitting a story to be published on the site, not for giving me money. The only contributions I would ask for are for progressive Democratic candidates, such as those on my ActBlue Page or to my Atheists for Democrats page.

If you wish to see what the most read stories on the site are, you should go to the Site Statistics link on the header. There are, also, links to polls, comments, and other blogs available there.

Who are you, SmokeyMonkey?

My name is Ryan Harkey. I am a self-employed network administrator and office technology consultant. My interest in politics, religion, the constitution, and global affairs all come from an intellectual curiosity about how humans behave with each other. My intellectual history comes from studying the history of science throughout my college years, although I never graduated. Much of my education is simply from reading extensively.
